Elephants flap their ears to stay cool!  We watched Dumbo recently & decided to add another handprint craft to our collection.  Dumbo is a great way to teach your kids to accept people the way they are.  In just a few easy steps you have your very own Handprint Elephant!

You will need:

  • Grey & light pink card stock
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Compass
  • 2 large googly eyes
  • Scissors

Now lets get started:

First trace bother of your child’s hands.  Use the compass to draw a large circle for the head of the elephant.  You will also need to draw an elephant trunk.  Cut out all of your pieces.

Glue the circle onto the pink paper, followed by the hands (ears), & trunk.

Last think you need to do is glue on the googly eyes & you are all finished!

Adorable fact: Baby elephants suck their trucks to calm themselves!!!
